School Admissions Policy ![]() Prospective Kindergarten students must be five years old on or before September 30th of the school year. Prospective First Graders must be six years old on or before September 30th and have successfully completed an approved Kindergarten program. Families will be considered in the order of date of receipt of a completed and signed application and registration fee, with present students in good standing given preference over new students through March 31st. Kingsway Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in the administration of its Admission Policies. The school is not intended to be an alternative to court or administrative agency ordered, or public school district initiated, desegregation. ADMITTANCE OF NEW STUDENTS The process of enrollment at Kingsway Christian School prior to final acceptance shall include the following: 1. Submit completed and signed: a) Application Form including Parental Involvement portion, b) Emergency Medical form (first day you attend), c) Student Records Request Form, and d) registration fee. 2. Submit Letter of Recommendation from church leader or equivalent. 3. Submit Letter of Recommendation from previous school 4. Schedule parent and student interview with School Administrator 5. Entrance test given to student. 6. Student records from previous school must be sent to Kingsway Christian School including: a) copy of birth certificate, b) medical and immunization records, c) custody papers, if applicable, d) Parent/Student Handbook agreement, e) Emergency Medical Release. 7. Financial arrangements made: a) annual or semi-annual payments or, b) Payment Book – 10 monthly payments beginning August 1st. 8. The determination is made if the student is accepted by the administration. 9. Student is assigned a class if an opening is available or the student is put on a waiting list. NOTE: All new admissions are probationary and are subject to review during the first year. Kingsway Christian School reserves the right to refuse admittance to any student who has special needs (i.e. emotional, behavioral, physical, academic) which the school is not equipped to address. ![]() | ||||||||||
