MOVING FORWARD AGAIN!
We are constantly listening to God and to you, our parents and students, concerning how Kingsway might improve. We have been evaluating our current needs by looking at surveys that you, the teachers, and the board have completed. Mrs. Gray has been working with our instrumental music program, but in order to allow her to focus on the vocal program, the Board has approved another teaching position for instrumental music. We will begin interviewing immediately so that God may raise up the right person for this very important position. The Board has also created an art position to develop our upper grade art classes. We are praying for the right person and have already interviewed one candidate. It is very exciting for me to see the Board of Trustees take these steps forward that we might expand the course offerings for our students and lay a solid foundation for the future of Kingsway Christian School. Parents, I want you to know that I appreciate your words of encouragement and your concerns as we, with God’s help, build a school that honors Jesus Christ.
Because of Christ,
Mr. Williams

KINGSWAY WILL HOLD AN OPEN HOUSE

Kingsway is planning an Open House on March 4th the night of the High School Classical Concert Band and Choir Program. It will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for people to visit our building and experience what God is doing at our school. People can take a tour of the school and/or stay for the program. We encourage you to invite family and friends who have shown an interest in our school to take advantage of this opportunity.

REGISTRATION PACKETS FOR THE 2004-2005 SCHOOL YEAR WENT HOME LAST WEEK. IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE ONE, PLEASE CONTACT THE SCHOOL OFFICE.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES - FEBRUARY 17TH & FEBRUARY 19TH

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, February 17th and Thursday, February 19th. The conferences will be held Tuesday, 3:30—6:00 p.m., and Thursday, 3:30 to 5:00 and 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. For Grades K—5, conferences can be scheduled by returning the form, or calling the office. Grades 6—12 will have conferences on a walk-in basis in the school cafeteria and band room.

2004 AUCTION/FUN NIGHT/CHICKEN BARBECUE

Planning has begun for the Auction and Fun Night. This is a big event for Kingsway and will be held on April 16th.
If you have an item to donate, we are presently taking donations. If you would like to help contact people for donations, please talk to Bob Witmer or Kristen Hilty. Some ideas are as follows:
Talk to your employers, or if you know someone in business, contact them to donate an item.
If a company doesn’t have an appropriate item to donate but would still like to contribute, suggest they donate money for Kingsway to purchase an auction item. Their business name will be displayed as the contributor.
Some suggested guidelines for the silent auction: Donations with a value of $15-20 will be auctioned off silently. Items with smaller values may be grouped with similar things, to offer more quality.
Everyone at Kingsway can help make this evening a success by inviting friends and family to attend.

THURSDAY'S WITH KIP (KINGSWAY IN PRAYER)

At Kingsway we are dedicated to prayer. One of the basic guidelines for our School Board is to bathe everything in prayer. Thursday’s with KIP was born out of a sincere desire to surround everything that happens in and around Kingsway with prayer. Thursday’s with KIP happens once a month on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and will continue throughout the year. These prayer times are for every age, and every person that has anything to do with Kingsway. We encourage participation from teachers, staff, parents, children and grandparents. We are excited about giving you the opportunity to be a part of Thursday’s with KIP. Please set aside these evenings so that you can be a part of the Kingsway family in prayer.
