From the Administrator
We are located on a twenty-one acre campus just south of Orrville, Ohio and west of Riceland. The school was established in 1992 as a Kindergarten through sixth grade with 52 students and is a chartered Kindergarten through twelfth grade today with 240 students. Kingsway is a non-denominational parent sponsored school and has over 50 different churches represented by the student body and faculty. The school provides a Christ centered environment and a biblically based curriculum that prepares students for college, technical school, or immediate employment following graduation.
The faculty members are certified Christian teachers who desire to assist parents in the education of their children from God’s perspective. Their world and life view reflects a strong commitment to Christ and the Word of God. Coming from a wide variety of educational backgrounds, they work together as a unit to equip students for the cause of Christ. Stability of the faculty is apparent as 50 percent have taught at Kingsway Christian School for 5 years or more.
The value of Christian education is identified by its ministry to the whole child. Special consideration is given to the child’s spiritual, emotional, academic, physical, and social needs during their years of growth and development. Christian educators seek to help children grow as Jesus grew – “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52). Every child is encouraged to reach their God-given potential.
At Kingsway Christian School, we realize that growth in knowledge cannot be equated with growth in wisdom. The development of wisdom is promoted in our school as children study God’s Word and learn about His creation from the perspective of our Christ-centered curriculum.
Growing in favor with God and men is enhanced as our students learn about loving God with every part of themselves and loving others as they love themselves. At Kingsway Christian School, we know the value of Christian Education, and we endeavor to use this knowledge to benefit our students to the Glory of God. We are rising “Champions for Christ”, developing a whole generation of Christian leaders prepared for the challenges facing mankind in this next decade.
